We will spend a few hours wandering the beautifully themed landscaped areas, gaze at magnificent trees and admire the abundant variety of flowers & plants. There will be time for you to have lunch before our tour. The Tour is booked for 2.30pm and lasts approx 90 minutes, most of which is in the coach. You will learn the long history of Windsor Great Park and visit The Coronation Groves to commemorate the coronation of King George VI & Queen Elizabeth II, The Royal Equestrian Statues, The Royal School, founded by Queen Victoria, The Guards Polo Club, founded by Prince Philip & the Estate Village. To finish we will disembark from the coach at the top of the iconic Long Walk, giving you time to take photos from The Copper Horse statue of George III to the historic Windsor Castle.

See what rural living was like with over a 1,000 years of history to explore, and over 50 relocated historic houses covering the 40 acre site.  A museum for those who want to see, touch and even smell what life was really like for people living in years gone by.

The BBC’s The Repair Shop is filmed at the Museum. It is a closed film set and is not accessible to the public. The set including the outside of the barn is visible from a short distance but there is no public access beyond that point.

Relax and let the countryside gently pass you by on our 4 hour journey, as we travel on a horse drawn canal boat. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on board. The Queen reopened the Kennet and Avon Canal in 1990, after it had been extensively cleared and refurbished by dedicated waterway enthusiasts and local volunteers. It runs through what is often spectacular scenery for 87 miles between the Thames at Reading and the Avon at Bristol. The canal section is 57 miles long and was constructed between 1794 and 1810 to link the Avon and Kennet rivers.

We will welcomed on arrival and then go on to visit the main ground floor rooms, used by the Royal Family. The decor and contents remain much as they were in Edwardian times. Built in 1870 by The Prince and Princess of Wales, who later became King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. Both Queen Alexandra and later Queen Mary were great collectors of objets d'art. Members of the Russian and European Royal Families were frequent guests at Sandringham House and brought gifts of enamel, silver and silver-gilt. The walls are hung with family portraits. The grounds have been developed in turn by each monarch, a densely planted shrubbery with a shady woodland walk was instigated by Queen Elizabeth II in the late 1960’s. A collection of Rhododendron, Camellia and Magnolia trees were brought up from Windsor were planted to create more interest, shelter and privacy in the garden. Afternoon tea will be served at 3pm.

Your visit will start with a self-guided tour of the magnificent State Rooms of Buckingham Palace, at 11.15am, with a complimentary multimedia guide. After the State Rooms there is time for you to take in the panoramic view of the lawn from the Garden Café on the West Terrace and to visit the Garden Shop.Your Garden Highlights Tour will start at 1.30pm, from the steps on the West Terrace and will last around 45 minutes. Described as 'a walled oasis in the middle of London', it boasts more than 350 types of wildflowers, over 200 trees and a three-acre lake. The tour starting location is clearly signposted and includes the beautiful Herbaceous Border, the summer house, the Rose Garden, the enormous Waterloo Vase and the Palace tennis court, where King George VI and Fred Perry played in the 1930s. This is a walking tour and takes place in all weather, unless it is unsafe to do so. You will have some free time at the end of the tour.
